As new formats emerge, update your media player software. Note: CyberLink Media Suite 12 contains 12 CyberLink products, if you already have the same software installed on your computer, Media Suite 12 installation will overwrite the same software, such as PowerDVD 14 Ultra or PowerDirector 12 Ultra, and some features might not be available on software included in Media Suite 12. Note: Depending on your operating system's built-in functionality, additional software may be required to encode/decode Blu-ray formats. Connect the drive to your computer, install the included software, and start using it. Our Data Storage devices are Plug-and-Play compliant, and do not require drivers. Other versions such as OEM, or for users who have misplaced their original software, may require third-party software for Blu-ray features. Retail versions of these drives include the required software in the box ( DO NOT LOSE). Note: For users with new machines (first time using the LG Optical Disc Drive on this computer), additional software is required for Blu-ray playback/burning. Please uninstall/reinstall the playback/burning software to correct this issue.
If experiencing issues related to DVD/Blu-ray playback or burning, your playback software may have been removed or currupted during the update from Windows < 10 to Windows 10. CyberLink Media Suite is a set of multimedia tools that you can use to organize, play, convert, edit, and share videos, music, and pictures.
LG Optical Disc Drives have been tested with Windows 10 and continue to be recognized as Plug-and-Play devices (no drivers required).
